Every woman in my family has made things with her hands. My grandmother taught me to sew and knit at her kitchen table — the same way her mother had taught her, and her mother before that.
Along with the skill, one name kept getting passed down too: Phemia. It was my grandmother’s. It’s my middle name. Now it belongs to my daughter.
Little Phemia Co. started because I wanted to give that same inheritance to other families — not just a name, but the feeling of being made for, by hand, on purpose.
